WHAT TO BRING
|
A Virginia Freshwater Fishing License is required. We provide lunch, drinks, snacks, shuttles, fishing gear, and necessary tackle for full day trips. We can accommodate groups of up to 8 anglers on our float trips and are happy to offer multi-raft and corporate trips. We carry digital cameras, but you may want to bring your own as well as rain gear, waders, polarized sunglasses, and a hat. Please advise us of any dietary needs or medical issues in advance.
Camp and Fish Trips!
We now offer camping on the New! For an additional fee of $175 for 2 anglers and $50 per additional angler, we can provide you with hassle free camping on an island right on the river. We will set up the site for you, cook a camp style dinner in the evening and breakfast the next morning while we stay at an adjacent site. This is primitive camping on an island with the only facility being pit toilets located in the center of the island. BYOB, as in Bring Your Own sleeping Bag or we can provide a limited number if necessary. This isn't 'Glamping'; just good old fashioned camping on the waters edge with food, a camp fire and plenty of opportunity to night fish as well! We can camp before or after a day of fishing or in between a two-day trip. Sorry, but camping is only in conjunction with a float trip.
 
STRIPERS, STRIPERS, STRIPERS!
We are also very happy to announce the addition of GCO Guide Tim Clark
who has fished the New River and Claytor Lake all his life. Tim has
made striper fishing his passion and has gotten targeting them down to a
science. Head out to Claytor Lake with Tim and he will share his craft
with you using the umbrella rigs he personally builds while you chase
down your limit of striper! These trips, along with our spring walleye
excursions, are the only trips we run that are not manditory catch and
release. Once Tim hunts down these beasts, you can also try your hand
casting to them for an extra challenge. Pricing is the same for a New River Float trip.
 
MULTIPLE TRIP PACKAGES
Because
once is just not enough! We are offering 5 trip packages at $50 off per
trip when you purchase the entire package at once; where you would
normally pay $1975.00 for 5 individual 2 person trips, if you purchase
the package, you'll get five 2 person trips at a $50 savings per trip or
$1725.00! Same applies for single person trips where 5 trips would
normally be $1625.00 you'll save $250 with the package and only pay
$1375.00 for five 1 person trips!
RESERVATION POLICY
All bookings require a non-refundable deposit. In case of cancellation due to severe weather or river conditions, the trip must be rescheduled within a 12 month period or the deposit will be forfeited. We accept check and credit card payments. You can make a reservation by calling toll free (540) 577-6538 or sending us an email. Gift certificates are also available and are valid for 1 year from date of purchase. A 15-20% tip is customary.
